Job Summary

Gulliver is seeking a full-time middle school Japanese teacher for the 2020-2021 school year.  The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Japanese or other languages at the middle school or introductory level and must be fluent in Japanese.  A bachelor’s degree is necessary, preferably in Japanese, language education, or a related field. We offer an introduction to Japanese to fifth graders and Japanese A, B, and C to our sixth through eighth graders.  Students continue their study of Japanese at the high school and can reach the AP level. Candidates must be adept at using technology, embrace 21st Century pedagogy, and be familiar with the national teaching standards developed by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.  Candidates should also be excited to serve as a student advisor.
