Job Description

Gulliver’s Preparatory Campus is currently seeking a full time French teacher for the upcoming 2019 - 2020 school year. An energetic and enthusiastic young teacher, even a capable recent graduate who is willing to give his best building his experience in a French language classroom, is welcome to apply.  A Bachelor's degree in the field is required and a Masters in Education and State Certification in the subject area are preferred. In addition, they must be bilingual in both English and French, and need to have a native or near native proficiency in French reading, writing, and speaking. The current position encompasses teaching French 1, French 2.

Additionally, applicants must be able to develop original assessments, and collaborate with other teachers in the World Languages department on a regular basis. Applicants must be adept at keeping accurate records of student progress and communicating with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues. Attending ongoing professional development activities and staying abreast of current developments in the field are also expectations for this position, as is a working knowledge of technology in the classroom. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a 1:1 technology environment, are comfortable operating in a block schedule, and rely on student-centered pedagogy.
