High School Mathematics Teacher - 2019-2020 school year
Gulliver's Preparatory Campus is currently seeking a High School Mathematics Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Applicants must have a minimum of three years teaching experience in the subject matter with an emphasis on Statistics and Probability—AP Statistics. A Bachelor's degree in Education or Mathematics is required and a Master’s in Education or Mathematics, and State Certification in the subject area are highly preferred. Applicants must be able to develop and execute effective lesson plans that cover the curriculum, engage students’ interests in mathematics, and promote higher-order thinking. Additionally, applicants must be able to develop original assessments and collaborate with other teachers in the math department on a regular basis. Applicants must be adept at keeping accurate records of student progress and communicating with students, parents, and counselors to discuss any concerns or issues. Attending ongoing professional development activities and staying abreast of current developments and discoveries in the fields are also expectations for this position. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a 1:1 technology environment, are comfortable operating in a block schedule, and able to facilitate student-centered pedagogy.
