Job Description

Gulliver is looking to hire a Middle School drama teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  We are looking for a dynamic, engaging educator who is excited to teach students the many aspects of theatrical performance from basic acting techniques and improvisation to writing, directing, and production design.  Courses may include beginning and advanced drama for seventh and eighth graders as well as sixth grade stagecraft. Candidate must be available to participate in afterschool rehearsals and performances of our two major productions, the fall drama and the spring musical, as well as local and state competitions.  Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in performance, education, or a related field and preferably have a minimum of 3 to 5 years teaching experience, ideally with middle school age students.  Professional theatrical experience is preferred.
