Job Description

Gulliver's Academy campus is seeking a Testing Coordinator.  The Testing Coordinator oversees testing services including: policies/procedures regarding test administration, scoring, reporting and security controlling. The Testing Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all group testing at Gulliver Academy, grades PreK through 8 achievement tests, and group and individual admissions testing, grades PreK through 8. The testing coordinator reports to both the Director of Enrollment Management and the Director of Student Performance Assessment and Research.

 Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performing individual evaluations for students in the admissions process and support any beginning of the year and end of the year assessments as requested by the Director of Enrollment Management and/or Director of Student Performance, Assessment and Research.
  • Assess current students referred for additional testing and report results
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, based on a need to know basis, of all information pertaining to testing
  • Supervises all phases of testing
  • Ensures and certifies compliance with testing rules, regulations and procedures
  • Recommends and implements new policies and procedures around testing protocols
  • Assists in creating and managing the annual testing calendar for PreK-8
  • Maintains security of test materials and confidentiality of tests
  • Trains school staff in the administration of all standardized assessments
  • Responsible for reviewing psychoeducational reports and representing PreK-8 in the Accommodations Committee
  • Maintain the accommodations list current and accurate and will send updates to relevant parties when reports need updating
  • Coordinate all aspects of standardized testing for all students and special populations including extended time, technology accommodations special materials etc.

Additional qualifications to the position include:

  • Master’s degree in Special Education or related feel is a must
  • The possession of substantive organizational skills and the ability to oversee/supervise the coordination and effective implementation of standardized assessments and diagnostic measures.
  • Well-versed in the interpretation of psychoeducational reports
  • Proficient in the selection, administration and interpretation of several diagnostic measures
  • Ability to organize, interpret and present statistical data in a manner appropriate to users’ skill set and needs
  • Training in data-driven Instruction
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Experience training personnel
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; in English and Spanish a must additionally, Portuguese preferred
  • Ability to create informative visualizations of data to support school staff with evaluation and planning efforts;
  • Knowledge of all regulations governing test administration and data reporting policies and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of basic software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email) and statistical software.
